(heart)mobile

i constructed three strands out of found and gifted objects to make a mobile that hangs in my bedroom window

the stained glass diamond was gifted to me from my aunt many years ago. the kodachrome slides were gifted to me, originally as earrings, by my friend haley sheppard in 2020. the beads i picked up from the strathcona free table in vancouver in 2022. the chain mail was made by/gifted to me from my friend and partner jenny lapp in 2024 and the crystals i found on the street in montreal (originally as part of a chandelier) in the summer of 2025. the shells were collected on the shores of gabriola and denman island in the fall of 2025. the small beads are agate, purhcased from the amazing just bead it in kingston, early 2026.

every morning when the sunlight refracts through the crystal, making rainbows on my bedroom wall, i am reminded of the intricate web of connections, relationships and places that inspire and sustain me.
